Harper's Tavern, located in Winter Park near Orlando, was a historic and beloved watering hole that opened in 1932. It became known as a cozy, upscale venue with wood-paneled interiors, serving strong cocktails and hosting live entertainment. Patrons often visited while waiting for a table at the adjacent fine-dining restaurant, Le Cordon Bleu. Together, these establishments represented a significant part of Winter Park’s nightlife and dining scene.
The tavern held a special place in local history as one of Florida's oldest continuously operating bars. Unfortunately, it closed in 1996 after a fire severely damaged the building. Today, the site has been redeveloped, but the legacy of Harper's Tavern lives on as part of Orlando's rich hospitality history.
